hectic day!
I went on another interview at the public health building. As usual i walked out of there feeling like crap. To cheer myself up, i went into that Botanical Garden nearby, sat down a bench under the tree, and wrote a letter to Quynh Nhu. Sounds ideal.
I went to an open house for Asian American Studies. After sending that email to co Dung, i feel like, i need to learn about this, ultimately to establish my own stand on political and social issues, so when others ask, i wouldn't be just like, 'i'm not invovled w/ cultural activities." But how?
Went to peer mentor meeting. This one's not as nice as Steph, though. Ruby Wang, she's in a medical frat, &the way she speaks of it was as if it's a high society not for ppl like you. I don't even like her in the 1st place; she gives off a snobby attitude. When she met me for our one-on-one meet, I told her how hard i've been trying to get a job without results, &she just flat out told me, "maybe you need to develop your personality." Excuse me? You don't even know me. &if you know how much i've tried, maybe you wouldn't be so thoughtless. &coming from you who took 12 AP classes in hs &whose nose's stuck in midair ? Some awesome mentor you are... She did help me plan out my schedule for med school prereg, after she told me double major in art would probably be a mistake, or impossible. thanks...
